1. Subject
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter the "T&CS") govern the terms for subscribing to and using the email hosting service offered under the StrapMail brand, operated in France by the company Exostrive. The service allows for the creation, hosting, and operation of secure mailboxes accessible via IMAPS, JMAPS, and SMTPS protocols.
2. Service Operator

3. Acceptance of T&CS
Any subscription to a StrapMail offer implies full and complete acceptance of these T&CS. The Customer acknowledges having read the T&CS before validating their order.
4. Service Description
The StrapMail service provides:

hosting of email mailboxes;

secure access to emails;
-
alias management;
-
automatic reply configuration;
-
advanced security and privacy features.

Supported protocols are:
- IMAPS (IMAP over TLS);
- JMAPS (JMAP over TLS);
- SMTPS (SMTP over TLS).
The service may also allow for:
- configuration of an out-of-office message;
- automatic S/MIME encryption of certain incoming messages based on rules defined by regular expressions to protect the confidentiality of sensitive correspondence.
The Customer remains responsible for:
- the configuration of their equipment;
- the management of their S/MIME certificates and maintaining their validity.
5. Commercial Offers
5.1 BASIC Offer
The BASIC offer includes:
- an email address of the type username@strapmail.com, subject to the availability of the chosen username.
- IMAPS, JMAPS, and SMTPS access;
- a webmail if applicable;
- out-of-office message configuration;
- configuration.
Pricing: €24 including tax per year per mailbox.
5.2 FAMILY Offer
The FAMILY offer allows for the creation of multiple mailboxes sharing a common suffix for all accounts in the subscription, such as the family name or a more generic group name. Address format:

- two mailboxes with email addresses of the format
. lastname@strapmail.com, where is common to all mailboxes in the subscription. - creation of aliases using the family suffix;
- centralized account management;
- secure IMAPS, JMAPS, and SMTPS access;
- out-of-office message;
- S/MIME encryption options.
Pricing:
- €36 including tax per year for the first two mailboxes;
- €18 including tax per year per additional mailbox.
The family suffix:
- is subject to availability;
- must not infringe on third-party rights;
- may be refused by StrapMail if it is:
- misleading;
- abusive;
- illegal;
- or reserved.
5.3 PRO Offer
The PRO offer is intended for professionals and organizations wishing to use their own DNS domain name.
It includes:
- the use of a custom domain name;
- custom DNS configuration;
- management of records: MX; SPF; DKIM; DMARC; up to 1000 email aliases; IMAPS, JMAPS, and SMTPS access; advanced security features; S/MIME functions. The domain name must be acquired from a third-party DNS provider chosen by the Customer. Pricing €30 excluding tax per year per main mailbox.
6. Subscription and Account Creation
The Customer agrees to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. The Customer is solely responsible for:
- the confidentiality of their login credentials;
- the use made from their account;
- the content exchanged via the service.
7. Payment
Subscriptions are payable annually upon order. The applicable prices are those displayed on strapmail.com/pricing
Any delay or default in payment may result in:
- suspension of the service;
- followed by account termination and deletion of associated data within 6 months.
8. Duration and Renewal
Subscriptions are taken out for a duration of one (1) year. Unless terminated before the expiry date, subscriptions may be automatically renewed.
The Customer can disable automatic renewal from their administration area.
9. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the Customer acknowledges that the execution of the service begins immediately after the activation of the mailbox. Consequently, the Customer expressly waives their right of withdrawal upon effective activation of the service.
10. Customer Obligations
The Customer undertakes, among other things, not to: send spam; engage in phishing; distribute malware; engage in any fraudulent or illegal activity; attempt any computer intrusion; use the service in a way that impairs its operation. The Customer remains solely responsible for the content transmitted or stored via the service.
11. Service Availability
Exostrive implements reasonable measures to ensure:
- availability;
- security;
- integrity of the service.
No guarantee of continuous or uninterrupted availability can be given. Temporary interruptions may occur, particularly for:
- maintenance;
- updates;
- network incidents;
- security requirements.
12. Security and Confidentiality
StrapMail implements technical measures to secure electronic exchanges. However, the Customer acknowledges that:
no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure; S/MIME encryption depends, in particular, on: the quality of the certificates used; their correct configuration; and the behavior of correspondents. The confidentiality of correspondence remains subject to the technical limitations inherent in public communication networks.
13. Data Backup and Retention
The Customer remains responsible for backing up their data on their personal equipment. Technical backups may be performed by Exostrive without any commitment to full restoration.
In case of termination, data may be permanently deleted after a technical retention period.
14. Liability
Exostrive shall not be held liable for: data loss; temporary interruptions; anti-spam filtering performed by third parties; Internet routing errors; indirect damages; loss of business or revenue. Exostrive's total liability is limited to the amount paid by the Customer during the twelve (12) preceding months.
15. Intellectual Property
All elements comprising the StrapMail service remain the exclusive property of Exostrive or its partners: software; infrastructure; trademarks; logos; interfaces; documentation. Any unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.
16. Personal Data
Personal data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy available at: strapmail.com/privacy
In accordance with Articles 15 et seq. of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 (GDPR) and Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, as amended, the Customer has, in particular:
- a right of access;
- rectification;
- erasure;
- restriction;
- and portability of their personal data.
17. Termination
The Customer may terminate their subscription at any time. Any period commenced remains due.
Exostrive may suspend or immediately terminate an account in case of:
- non-payment;
- violation of these T&CS;
- abusive or fraudulent use;
- illegal activity.
18. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be held liable for a breach resulting from a case of force majeure as defined by French law and the case law of French courts.
19. Applicable Law and Competent Jurisdiction
These T&CS are subject to French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts within the district of Exostrive's registered office, unless otherwise provided by mandatory legal provisions.
